Daye launches new gynaecological care service
With nearly 600,000 people in England on NHS waiting lists for gynae treatment, accessible alternatives are welcome
Gynaecological health start-up Daye has introduced a new gynae health consultation service.
The launch comes as recent figures show that nearly 600,000 people in England are on NHS waiting lists for gynaecological treatment.
Daye’s new service is priced accessibly as an alternative and costs £29.99 for a 1:1, 30-minute consultation with experienced vetted nurses.
The service includes video or phone-based consultations with NHS-trained specialist nurses followed by personalised treatment plans for everything from period pain to menopause.
Following the consultation, prescriptions can then be delivered to a patient’s door for STIs, BV, thrush and personalised HRT and contraception.
Announcing the news, founder Valentina Milanova wrote:
“Nearly 600,000 women in England are waiting for gynaecological treatment (as reported by the Guardian in April) – which is a 30% increase in just two years.
“If that wasn’t bad enough, 33,000 of us have to wait for treatment for over a year?! In the light of these grim stats, we feel compelled to act.”
Daye already offers a world-first period pain clinic as well as a range of at-home diagnostics and period products too.
