Dedicated €40 million FemTech fund announced for France
The first in France fund originates from the Île-de-France region and was designed in partnership with FemTech France.

A first-in-France FemTech fund has been announced by Valérie Pécresse, president of the Île-de-France region, during the VivaTech 2025 conference held in Paris.
The fund has launched with an initial €5 million and a goal of raising at least €35 million more.
The fund was designed in partnership with non-profit FemTech France and is named Femtech Île-de-France.
"We're very proud to have convinced the Paris Region to co-create with us the first FemTech fund in France” said Delphine Moulu, co-founder and CEO for FemTech France.
“When we launched Femtech France we had the objective of creating a fund but we didn't think we could achieve it in less than 3 years!”
Tackling priority areas
The fund now has the objective of financing ten start-ups over a year in four priority areas: endometriosis, fertility support, menopause care and women’s cardiology.
FemTech France has identified an estimated 170 start-ups operating in France defined as FemTech.
“This French Femtech fund is a huge signal for the industry, especially with a public actor such as the Paris Region co-creating it,” continued Delphine.
“France has always been good at creating Femtech startups but not so good when it comes to financing them, it's time for this to change."
