Femme Health launches ‘online department store’ for fertility and conception support
40+ brands including Daye, Hertility and Wild Nutrition join the new marketplace
A new online ‘department store’ for fertility and conception support has launched today (Friday 5 January)
Femme Health (www.femmehealth.co.uk) features 200 products from over 40 brands including Daye, Hertility, Wild Nutrition, Grace and Green and more.
Co-founder Stefanie Meachin said:
“Every brand we spoke to wanted to join Femme, and most said this was the platform women needed.
“Many women visit a GP and if they haven’t been trying for a set period of time, they are told to return [at a later date], and when they leave that appointment where do they go?
“Femme is aiming to be their first destination should they want to look into further tests, supplements, or additional support.”
A brainchild from Una Health
Femme Health is a new route to market for Una Health, a UK-based professional diagnostic company which supplies products primarily to the NHS and specialises in pathology and point of care diagnostics. It already has an existing direct-to-consumer range including an at-home ‘world-first’ pregnancy blood test.
After an idea sparked at The Fertility Show in May 2023, Una Health ringfenced a team of seven internally to develop the Femme Health concept.
Femme Health will now sit alongside Una Health and operate from Una’s current offices and warehouse facilities in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.
Laura Cartwright, director and co-founder said:
“There’s a gap in the market for a comprehensive fertility experience for women, so we wanted to create a trusted, positive space for women to shop fertility and wellbeing.”
Partnerships for growth
The team has assembled an expert panel to help with support for customers. BANT-registered Nutritionist Julie Gough, Fertility Counsellor Tracey Sainsbury and The Sonder Coach Anna Hobson will provide advice and regular content on the latest scientific research and strategies.
Femme Health has also partnered with London-based charity The Fertility Foundation which offers grants to couples and solo individuals to help them access fertility treatment. Femme Health will donate to support the charity’s mission which also includes advocating for standardised access to IVF instead of the current postcode lottery.
