In Women's Health acquires FemHealth Insights - uniting largest online women's health ecosystem communities
Building the infrastructure to power the $1 trillion women's health economy
In Women’s Health — the personalized education and career platform for the women’s health industry — has acquired Dr. Brittany Barreto’s FemHealth Insights, including its global Slack community of over 2,500 members.
The strategic move brings together two of the largest online networks of women’s health professionals, forming the connective infrastructure the industry needs to scale careers, companies, and capital. With a combined digital community of over 3,000 founders, clinicians, investors, and operators, In Women’s Health is now the leading hub for education, hiring, networking, and intelligence in the fast-growing women’s health sector.
“If we want to capitalize on the $1T+ opportunity in women’s health, we have to build the infrastructure to support it,” said Jodi Neuhauser, Founder & CEO of In Women’s Health.
“Talent is the core of our ecosystem — it’s the fuel that will drive us to $1 trillion in women’s health economic value. Behind every breakthrough, every company, and every policy win is a person. Until now, we didn’t have a place for that talent to be developed, supported, and mobilized. In Women’s Health is that place — and we’re building the platform that powers the people driving this movement forward.”
Global community hub
Founded by Brittany Barreto, PhD, in 2022, FemHealth Insights has served as a global community hub for femtech founders, researchers, clinicians, and advocates. Its Slack group became a vital space for early collaboration, resource sharing, and thought leadership.
In 2024, the FemHealth Insights newsletter became part of FutureFemHealth with the combined global audience now reaching 8,000+ subscribers in the sector.
With this latest acquisition, the FemHealth Insights community becomes part of the broader In Women’s Health ecosystem — which now supports professionals across all levels of the career journey through connection, content, and career tools.
The integration also expands the reach of the In Women’s Health weekly jobs newsletter, which now serves over 8,500 subscribers — making it one of the most widely-read publications focused exclusively on the business and careers of women’s health.
“FemHealth Insights was built to connect and elevate the global women’s health community,” said Brittany Barreto, PhD.
“I’m proud to see it become part of a platform that shares that mission — and is now positioned to do it at scale. Jodi and the team at In Women’s Health are building the infrastructure we all wished existed five years ago. I’m excited for what comes next.”
What happens next for the communities
The FemHealth Insights Slack community and the In Women’s Health Slack community will continue to operate independently, each serving a unique role in advancing the women’s health ecosystem. The FemHealth Insights Slack community will be rebranded as the In Women’s Health Slack Community and will remain an open, global space for early-stage collaboration, resource sharing, and connection across research, clinical care, innovation, and advocacy. Other than branding, no changes are being made to the current experience.
The current In Women’s Health Slack community, which has been operating on a $59/month membership model will be rebranded as In Women’s Health Pro (IW PRO). This premium membership tier will continue to offer the industry’s largest women’s health job board, with over 1,700 active roles, as well as a range of live and on-demand education programs and support.
Later this year, In Women’s Health will launch a new technology platform and membership model, bringing both communities into a single, AI-powered ecosystem. The platform will deliver personalized job recommendations, curated educational content, suggested collaborators, and relevant events based on each member’s career goals, role, and engagement history.
