Maven Clinic looks set for IPO with four key hires for executive team
IPO experience top of list for new additions to leadership team
Maven Clinic, the world's largest virtual clinic for women's and family health, appears to be preparing for an IPO as it announces four experienced senior leader additions to its leadership team.
All four of the new hires bring experience guiding businesses through public market transitions, as well as experience in scaling growth.
The new additions are confirmed as Katie Rooney, Chief Financial Officer; Stephanie Glenn, Chief Commercial Officer; Susan Stick, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, and Sheila Tran, Chief Communications Officer.
The expanded leadership comes at a time of significant growth for Maven, fueled by rising demand for greater women's and family health support. Its own research says that nearly 70% of employers are planning to expand their family benefits vendors in the next two to three years. Over the past year, the company has grown its client base by more than 170%, now serving 23 million people globally, up from 17 million in 2024.
"We've built something unique at Maven, a reimagined care model that puts women and families at the center, backed by data and delivered by compassionate providers," said Kate Ryder, Maven's founder and CEO.
"To keep growing and reaching more families, we need leaders who not only know how to scale, but who share our mission. Katie, Stephanie, Susan, and Sheila bring all of that and more."
New to the Maven leadership team
New CFO Katie Rooney joins from Alight where she served as CFO and COO and led the company's $4.8B divestiture from Aon and subsequent initial public offering.
Stephanie Glenn joins as Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for unifying and scaling Maven's go-to-market teams across sales, marketing, and client success. She spent 14 years at Salesforce, where she led large-scale commercial operations and helped grow several cloud businesses from early traction to sustained revenue.
Susan Stick joins as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, leading Maven's legal, people, and administrative functions. She was most recently General Counsel at Life360, where she led the company through its IPO and helped scale the business during a period of rapid growth. She previously held senior roles at Skype, Intuit and Evernote, and brings over 20 years of expertise in scaling teams, managing acquisitions, and building strong organizational culture.
And finally, Sheila Tran joins as Chief Communications Officer, overseeing Maven's brand, employee experience and communications strategy. She previously served as CCO at Opendoor and held senior communications roles at Yahoo and Polyvore, helping guide companies through IPOs, brand evolutions, and high-growth phases.
Founded in 2014 by Kate Ryder, Maven Clinic has raised $425million to date.
