Posture-correcting bra by Etalon receives a US patent
Posture correctors market is growing rapidly
Etalon, a San Francisco-based brand of postural apparel, has announced that it has received a patent for its posture-correcting bra.
Back pain is a highly widespread condition among US nationals, with up to 90% of people experiencing the condition at least once in a lifetime. Because of pregnancies, pelvic structural differences, and particular hormone levels, women are even more likely to experience back pain than men.
The posture correctors market is growing rapidly, set to reach an all-time high of USD 3.1 billion by 2033. Yet, there is still a lack of comfortable posture-correcting apparel adapted to women’s anatomical needs for daily wear. Etalon is one of the few posture apparel brands that have garnered patent recognition.
Founder and CEO Kristina Rudzinskaya invented the posture corrector with inclusive sizing for large breasts, adjustable strap-based design, and careful posture-correcting technology. She said:
“This patent represents years of hard work and a dedication to creating products that support - not correct - our bodies,”
“We believe everyone is naturally beautiful, and our aim is to provide gentle support that enhances confidence and well-being, allowing women to feel their best without compromising on comfort.”
Features of the bra include an adjustable strap system which allows for gradual increases to the corrective tension and muscle memory training - whereby instead of just pulling the shoulders back the bra strengthens the muscles for long-term posture improvement
